Furnace Installation Guide - 13 Easy Steps

My experience in life has taught me that if you are able to solve projects in simple steps, you have to be the captain of this project. That is the difference between a smart person and a wise person.

Apart from that, we should consider how to ..... install a new or used oven wise way. I have broken the process in 13 easy steps. Do you want to learn everything I know in this article? Of course not. I have installed thousands of life in my oven. You will, however, understand the process.

Step 1. Tool list. Nothing is more frustrating than getting started on a furnace job only to find you are missing some of the tools needed to accomplish the job. Most of you already have most of the basic tools you will need. Ex: screwdrivers, drills, hammer, etc. I will help you put your list together so that you will have everything you need before you even begin the job.

Step 2. Assessing your home. You are going to need to understand how your home is made and insulated. Do you have new or old windows and doors? Is there any air infiltrating your home via dryer vents, window fans, etc? Do you have a basement or is your home on a concrete slab? You will need to know this in order to install the correct equipment in your home.

Step 3. Assessing the Heating/Cooling system and duct-work. This is the most important step. Why? The answer might surprise you. It might even surprise some HVAC Contractors. The unit must be the right size. Hands down. No exceptions. Why? One might think, "not the rule" the bigger the better "applies here?" Let me put in another way: no tail!

I give you a quick example here. If you give an oversized air conditioning in your home, the air conditioner for a few minutes would run until the thermostat was in the desired temperature. Great! The larger A / C has saved me power by a short time, and brings the temperatureDown fast super! What is the problem there? Yes, you cool your house quickly, but what you do not remove as moisture (water in the air) from home. The longer an A / C is running, the more water removed from the air. The excess water in the air is what you feel uncomfortable in hot weather. The idea is to make you comfortable. Cooling the house is super fast have the opposite effect. The same principle applies with a furnace. It must be dimensioned correctly. There are manyHeating and cooling are online calculators which are free. Just Google "heating and cooling load calculator. The instructions contained in the rule. I mentioned included, one in a leadership that I wrote "The Ultimate Furnace Installation Guide". I found that heat / load-free online calculator.

Step 4 Materials list. Air lines. You need a running list of materials that you need if you keep to the store (go to all materials). Perhaps the size of thethe yield must be greater. They are without doubt one of the old furnace duct work-place to the new. The installation instructions that come with the oven, will tell you what the size of the installation for the right one. All part of the Stage 3

Step 5 Material list - Electrical. How do you evaluate your home as part of step 3, you will be able to find out what your new electrical requirements. Make a detailed list. Note that all new furnaces need a ground wire.If you do not have a ground wire on your old power supply, you must install it.

Step 6 Material list - gas networks. Step 3 are also determined. Hopefully now you see the wisdom of following this process step by step. Making these lists before you begin installation, you will help in the long term, to begin. With all the necessary materials at hand, and an action plan, you will not find themselves on the third day after installation of minus 10 degrees, and with toorun to 15 different shops.

Step 7 Another Material List - Other. This has to be determined by the nature of the furnace is to acquire or to you. Ex: 80% more efficient furnace will require different materials than 90% more efficient fire tube furnace.

Step 8 to work finding local suppliers. This could be your biggest hurdle. In the past, you were kind of strapped in your local suppliers. Today you have the Internet. Use it to yourAdvantage. A Google search with the words "oven Goodman" opens a surprising amount of information. Be sure to ask about the warranty. Remember that here you can buy your own oven saves you thousands of dollars - even if you end up hiring a contractor to install it!

Step 9 Remove the power and fuel supply from your existing equipment. Yes, I know, but some people start ripping things apart and completelyForget this step. It is a memory.

Step 10 Back up your existing lines into place. Why? There are more heart-rending as the starting point for the furnace to remove anything, just OT were existing lines to the ground falling at your feet. This has not only another day to your job, but also adds a new four-letter words to your vocabulary. Therefore, Step 10 Back up the existing lines with cleats and screws.

Step 11 Remove the old equipment. Now you have all power in itselfthe oven and have your pipes fixed, you are ready to start removing the old equipment. Once removed, Set It Off to the side of your workspace.

Step 12 Putting everything back together. This section is broken into six parts.

Alignment of the furnace. If this is done correctly, it will reduce the amount of work and lines do you need to
Attaching the boat and return to the new furnace
Attaching leave Old House (the old linesFurnace) as the new furnace. This is called the Transition
Reconnect the gas line and leak test
to remove the stove pipes running to the spent fuel gases
Reconnection of the thermostat and high-voltage power supply

Step 13 Commissioning of your equipment. Usually you say to the manufacturer's instructions exactly as they began, as the new oven and tested. Follow the instructions as precisely as possible.

There you have it.Twenty years of experience in 13 easy steps packed. If you think your own oven to install, I hope this helps you further.
